KSDT CPA, Rich Mar Florist Team Up for Homestead-Miami with RWR and Smithley
Organizations Bring Newly Formed Business Relationship to the Race Track
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (February 23, 2021): Rick Ware Racing (RWR) announced today that KSDT CPA [Kabat, Schertzer, De La Torre, Taraboulos & Co.] and Rich Mar Florist have teamed up to serve as co-primary sponsors of the No. 53 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Garrett Smithley in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway.
KSDT CPA is one of the fastest growing and respected, full-service accounting and advisory firms in the South Florida marketplace. Once again recognized by Forbes as “America’s Top Recommended Tax and Accounting Firm” for 2021. They are proud to have experienced double digit growth for 12 out of the past 15 years with an average of 22% over the past 5 years.
“The opportunity to work with Garrett (Smithley) at the NASCAR Cup Series level is something we’ve pursued for quite some time,” said KSDT CPA Managing Partner Jeffrey Taraboulos. “For our organization, the relationships that we have built and continue to build within NASCAR, including but not limited to other organizations, industry personnel, and race fans, make NASCAR sponsorship an important piece of KSDT’s marketing mix.”
Rich Mar Florist has been a staple in the retail floral industry since its humble beginnings in 1955. Four generations of the Morrissey family have grown the company from a townhouse basement to one of the top 100 FTD florists in the country. Winning several local business awards in the last decade, Rich Mar Florist is also proud partners of Pocono Raceway and Dover Speedway. The company is celebrating its fifth season in NASCAR this season. In addition to their three store front locations in Allentown, Pa. and Bethlehem, Pa., Rich Mar Florist has a strong online presence at www.RichMarFlorist.com.
“I’ve always been a big sports fan and have been blessed to be involved in NASCAR for the past several years,” said Rich Mar Florist CEO, Jonathan Morrissey. “Garrett (Smithley) first drove for us at Martinsville in 2019 and did a great job. He is a great brand ambassador for Rich Mar Florist and introduced me to Jeffrey (Taraboulos) a few months ago. There was instant synergy between us. We’re excited to work with Jeffrey and his team at KSDT, a relationship that would have never been possible without NASCAR, Garrett, and Rick Ware Racing.”
Smithley will pilot the No. 53 KSDT CPA / Rich Mar Florist Chevrolet Camaro for the second time this season. He competed in the Bluegreen Vacation Duel 2 as part of Daytona 500 race weekend at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, driving the No. 13 for MBM Motorsports, before driving the No. 53 for RWR at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course this past Sunday.
“Both Jeff (Taraboulos) and Jonathon (Morrissey) have become great friends,” said Garrett Smithley. “They run successful businesses and are stand up guys. It’s an honor to be able to represent them both in the (NASCAR) Cup Series. Individually, we have talked about working together for a long time. When the opportunity for us all to work together presented itself, it was incredible how quickly it came together. I’m really looking forward to getting on track in the No. 53 KSDT CPA / Rich Mar Florist Chevrolet Camaro on Sunday.”
The Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway is scheduled for Sunday, February 28 at 3:30 p.m. ET live on FOX and MRN.
